A love story against all odds, of two people with entirely different temperaments and backgrounds in the context of the Cold War in 1950’s Poland. Filmed in black and white, the film also takes place in Berlin, Yugoslavia, and Paris. Against the backdrop of the Cold War in the 1950’s, Wiktor and his team travel across Europe in search of new talent for their band under his direction. He meets Zula, a young singer, innocent and full of charm, and the two form a romance. But it seems that the politics of the time and their different backgrounds work against this love story. Will their love, strong and true as it may be, survive?

The film won the “Best Film” award at the European Academy, 2019.
